The Department of Commerce was established in 1979 as an Undergraduate Department and was later upgraded as a Post Graduate Department in 1982. The Department offers M.Com (Finance), B.Com (Finance) and B.Com Computer Application. It also offers Four Year Under Graduate Programmes of Honours Degree and Honours with Research Degree. The inputs received through industry interaction are made use of in the teaching learning processes and the students of the department have excellent career opportunities as a result of the same. Focus is given on computer applications in Business Analysis and FINTECH. The department has eleven faculty members and they take an active interest in all the ‘commerce-related’ activities of the college.
